Iowa City Police Respond to Robbery 

At 10:24 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025, Iowa City Police responded to Casey's at 204 N. Dubuque St. for a report of an armed robbery that had occurred approximately 15-20 minutes earlier.

Following the robbery, the suspect walked north on Dubuque Street with an unknown amount of cash. The suspect is described as a male with scruffy facial hair and wearing a blue beanie and tan coat.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact police using the information below.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Iowa City Police Department at 319-356-5275. In addition, anyone in that area with security cameras is asked to review their recordings and contact the Iowa City Police Department with any potential footage or information about this incident.

The Iowa City Police Department continues to investigate. The suspect was last seen traveling northbound on Dubuque Street. 

Suspect was described as wearing a tan Dickies coat with forest green lining, black pants with a white Nike logo, white Nike sneakers, a navy stocking hat, and a black face mask. 

Police continue to investigate. Please stay vigilant and continue to avoid the area.
