Nov. 17 Hawk Alert Update: No explosives or dangerous materials were located
At approximately 10:37 a.m. Campus Safety received a report of a written bomb threat indicating there could be a dangerous package inside Burge Residence Hall, 301 N. Clinton Street. UI Police responded immediately to investigate. Out of an abundance of caution, the building was evacuated while the Johnson County Metro Bomb Squad responded to sweep the impacted areas.
No explosives or dangerous materials were located. The motivation for the threat is not apparent or known at this time, and this incident remains under investigation.
